When you want to save scanned images without editing them in an application, start EPSON Scan directly. After scanning images, the scanned images are automatically saved as files to the folder specified in the File Save Settings dialog box.

Open the File Save Settings dialog box.
Windows:
Click Start >EPSON Scan >EPSON Scan.
Mac OS 8.6 to 9.x:
Select EPSON Scan from the Apple menu.

Editing A Scanned Image

Mac OS X:
Double-click the EPSON Scan icon in the Applications folder.
Note:
If the Show this dialog box before next scan check box is unchecked, the File Save Settings dialog box does not appear automatically. To open the dialog box, click the arrow to the right of the Scan button and then select File Save Settings.
Specify a location where the scanned images are saved. If you want to change the default location, click Browse (for Windows) or Choose (for Macintosh) and select the desired folder.
Specify a file name with an alphanumeric character string (prefix) and a 3-digit number (start number).
If you want to change the file name, type an alphanumeric character string in the Prefix box and select the start number. The file names are generated with the prefix and starting number specified here.
Note:
  • For Windows, the following characters cannot be used in the prefix.
    , /, :, ., *, ?, ', <, >, |
  • For Macintosh, you cannot use a colon (:) in the prefix.

Select a file format. See the following table for file format descriptions. Depending on the selected file format, the Options button may be available to let you adjust settings for saving the image.

BITMAP (*.BMP)
